We make sure to keep each other and the people of the community informed about what is going on around us. We will always fight to keep our communities strong, safe, informed and most of all, UNITED.
Our council, which is made up of Board members from each of our Historically Black Neighborhood Associations meets on a monthly basis. This council invites officials from all aspects of local and state government to discuss issues our communities are facing, how we are affected by current policies, what policies/procedures we would like to see, and a bunch of other topics we feel are relevant to address with the politicians who control change in our communities. We ALWAYS take the information gained back to our people.
UNITED WE WILL STAND
You will always be able to find the updates on community events happening in the Historically Black Neighborhoods of Lexington here. Because we are the neighborhoods, we know every event that has been scheduled in our communities. We also have all the info on cancelations and postponements.
